Gone to the cattle-post
Two generations of social process, even in a society with such an accelerated tempo of change and diversification as Botswana in the supersonic age, cannot come anywhere near bringing the formerly cattle-post-mentality society close to the computer-crazed society of our day, in a jiffy. This is not to deny that we have here and there, in our midst, a Motswana computer-whiz kid who can compete with the best in the developed world. One swallow does not make a summer, mind you!

The gap between the rich and the poor: Does God have an answer?
Part 1 GREAT minds in human history long realised that that there will always be the poor among us. Often, the poor are blamed for their abject poverty whilst we ignore the fact that in most cases, it is the rich who should get the blame for the misery of their brethren. To a Christian, this is a moral issue.

Unfair treatment in Malaysia
WE were sent to study in Malaysia in 2001 on government sponsorship. The programme of study was to go only up to diploma level, and then transfer for degree to Curtin University.

Wrong to criticise Bush
WITH pride in the United States of America, and our armed forces, I salute the vast majority of men and women who serve our country with honour in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other parts of the world. May God bless them and their families.
