Young Zebras aim high
NATIONAL Under 20 soccer team captain Moemedi "Jomo" Moatlhaping is confident that they will qualify for the next round of the qualifiers of the 14th African Youth Championships. The Young Zebras need to overcome visiting Angola tomorrow night to sail through. Speaking to Mmegi Sport yesterday, captain Moatlhaping was confident that his team has all it takes to beat their opponents.

Troubled BOPTA holds AGM
There has been no league games and clubs are still owed prize money from the last season. The association has not been updating affiliates about the state of affairs. BOPTA has never called a meeting to review the situation. Clubs which have not heard anything from BOPTA, have been keeping themselves busy by organising friendly tournaments.

BODA hosts zonal darts championships
THE Botswana Darts Association (BODA) will be hosting the 16th Zone VI Darts Championships in Gaborone from August 24 - 28, 2003. Botswana will field four teams. These are senior men and women and junior men and women.

Botswana announces Olympic team
BOTSWANA has announced a 20-strong team for the Olympic Games in Athens. The leader of the Olympic delegation France Mabiletsa, said on Tuesday that the team includes a physiotherapist, a boxing judge and a journalist besides team managers, coaches and the athletes. The boxing contingent has Master Luza and Khumiso Ikgopoleng and coach, Romero Drake, his assistant Johannes Ditlhabang and manager Baeti Molake.
