BOTSWANA Council of Non-Governmental Organisations (BOCONGO) in collaboration with Public Enterprises Evaluation and Privatisation Agency (PEEPA) and Friedrich Ebert Foundation (FES) will hold a one-day workshop on Privatisation Policy in Botswana today at Tlotlo Conference Centre.

AUSTRALIA: South Africa’s Harmony Gold Ltd may cut jobs and accelerate closure of unprofitable mines yielding 1.2 million ounces of gold a year due to the rapid appreciation of the rand, a Harmony executive said.
“About half our cost is labour,” Harmony director Ted Grobicki said on the sidelines of the Diggers and Dealers mining conference.
