ROMAN Catholics from Ramotswa, Mogoditshane, Lobatse, Pitsane and Goodhope will tomorrow march in support of sexual abstinence as an anti-HIV/AIDS measure, a church spokesperson has said.
Daddy Mogorosi of the Roman Catholic Chiro movement said the march will begin in Ramotswa with a keynote address by Balete paramount chief Kgosi Mosadi Seboko at the village amphitheatre (Kgotla).

The guest speaker will be Moses Lekaukau, the chief executive of the Botswana Telecommunications Authority (BTA), while Kgosi Lotlaamoreng of Barolong will receive the marchers in the Goodhope kgotla and give a vote of thanks.
The Minister of Health Lesego Motsumi and MP for Borolong Ronald Sebego have been invited to the march.
The march comes just after a recent onslaught on the Catholics’ opposition to condom use as an anti-HIV/AIDS measure by a Botswana Congress Party (BCP) councillor for Kgale, Kgabo Mabotseng. The march’s theme is: “Abstinence and Morality are a key to an AIDS-free tomorrow”. Mogorosi said the purpose of the march is to pray for the country and indicate the Catholics’ willingness to be involved in the government’s fight against HIV/AIDS. The march will begin and end at two different tribal assemblies in GaMalete and Borolong.
