Valentine’s Day Calendar

2/13/2004 12:39:46 AM (GMT +2)

Valentine’s Day will not only mark the day of lovers, but Franco will also be shooting a live video at Chez Ntemba gardens where he will be playing host.

This will be the first Franco video recording.

Billed to play the same evening are Vee, Unik Attractions, Africa Sounds, Exsodus, T-Joint, Afro Musica and Eskimos.

Prizes for the draw include a TV set VCR, portable radio, pocket radio, car radio, microwave and steam iron. These prizes are to be won on the day. There will also be an extra draw, whose prize is a night’s stay for two couples at Gaborone Sun.

“This day’s events will also be seen as a celebration of the return of Franco and Afro Musica’s prodigal son, Shabani Mwanasande Yohana, who is revered as one of the best guitarists in the country,” said Franco. The events are set to begin at 12 p.m. with the first 200 entries receiving Franco t-shirts.

Cupid visits Millennium Jazz

Millennium Jazz Restaurant will treat its patrons to an atmosphere l’amour. Botswana comedian and presenter Dignash is billed to entertain the crowds for the evening. Interested parties will get a free bottle of Champaign with a dinner table and Incognito, and African jazz CDs courtesy of Kgalagadi World. In the backdrop Shima, and Jazzy Jay will provide smooth jazz tunes. All this for P50.

“We want people to re-ignite their love. We want them to renew their vows and become more intimate. It’s a day for family, kids, and friends to rediscover the meaning of love. As a lot of us have vowed in the New Year’s resolutions to love more, this will be a perfect day to work on that,” said Shima Monageng.

He added, “We also want to add more value to Valentine’s Day, then it would not feel like it is just a commercial gimmick, two people exchanging flowers and chocolate, or the sceptics may be able to join in the bandwagon of love just as they celebrate Christmas Day. The 21st century society needs love especially in these days of problems and related stress.”For bookings contact Bertha @ 71883561.
