Let’s share the cake The minister of education Jacob Nkate has confirmed that government has decided to locate the second university in the Serowe/Palapye sub-district. This has been a cause of much debate, especially since the area did not fair well with the commissioners who were tasked with the responsibility to investigate the possible location of the institution. The price of freedom is vigilance
Why? Botswana was condemned by history and geography to be neighbours with the big apartheid brother, white-ruled South Africa, who not only exploited black labour to enrich the privileged white brother, but practised psychological genocide on people of darker hue by making them forlorn godforsaken zombies, by systematic disenfranchisement, de-unionisation, banishment, random imprisonment, occasional massacre and a stock of humiliating exposure until some fled their homeland to become exiles abroad.COSAFA lost it
I am disappointed with the leadership of COSAFA in the way they decided how second best placed team progressed to the semi finals of the just ended Under-20 tournament. It was not fair to decide who gets the last semi final berth through a toss. It is as unfair as deciding the outcome of a game by a flip of the coin.
