Masire receives Gandhi peace award
DURBAN: Former President, Ketumile Masire, has been honoured with the Mahatma Gandhi International Peace Award for his efforts to promote peace and reconciliation on the African continent. The award was presented to him by the Mahatma Gandhi Foundation, which is headed by Ela Gandhi, the only surviving granddaughter of Gandhi in South Africa.

Ex-broker faces 24 charges of fraud and theft
A former employee of Stockbrokers Botswana (SBB), Bennet Themba Manguba has pleaded not guilty to 24 counts of fraud and theft. Before Chief Magistrate Nelson Bopa at the Village court yesterday, Manguba was charged with various offences ranging from fraudulent and false accounting; stealing and obtaining by false pretences.
