Chiefs finally sack Kupe
It is now official. After weeks of denials, Mochudi Centre Chiefs have finally sacked their Zimbabwean coach, Ernest Kupe. The December 21 dismissal came after the coach held a meeting with the management.

MELBOURNE: Shane Warne capped his highly successful comeback year in test cricket from a 12-month doping ban with a six-wicket haul in Australia’s nine-wicket win over Pakistan in the second test yesterday. “It’s just a great luxury to have guys like them (Warne and Glenn McGrath) ... in your side,” Australia captain Ricky Ponting told a news conference.

250,000 back London Olympic bid
More than 250,000 people have registered their support for the bid to host the 2012 Olympics in London, organisers say. The bid team says it wants a million people to back the bid by text, online or in person before July 2005.

Berlusconi quits as AC president
