Venson to announce members of Tourism Board THE Minister for Environment, Wildlife and Tourism, Pelonomi Venson has said that she will soon announce the names of people who will sit on the newly set-up Botswana Tourism Board.
“Give me a week then I will make an announcement,” Venson said on Tuesday outside parliament.Public officers complain of new payment measures
Public officers who were looking forward to spending less time at government revenue offices following the introduction of new changes have complained that nothing has improved.
The new changes, which came into effect on August 2, were designed to address congestion at the revenue offices.
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning, Serwalo Tumelo said recently in a press statement that the changes were necessitated by the rise in the volume of transactions handled by the Accountant General.Barclays interim results below expectations
THE Botswana Stockbrokers reacted with caution to Barclays Bank of Botswana’s un-audited half-year results for the month ending June 30, 2004.
