Mozambique hosts 1st SADC/Zone VI games

THE first Southern Africa Development Community (SADC)/Zone VI games will take place in Maputo, Mozambique from April 24 to May 3 2004. These are inaugural Under 20 games for the SADC and Zone VI countries and they will be held annually.


Botswana will participate at these games in athletics, basketball, boxing, football, netball and PASSOBO (Athletics blind). All the participating teams have been in camp for the past two weeks. They leave for Mozambique on April 21 2004 and they are expected back home on May 4.National colours will be presented to the teams on April 17. The function will be held at the National Stadium Conference room at 7pm. The presentation will be done by the Assistance Minister of Labour and Home Affairs, Major General Moeng Pheto.
